CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
The Ultimate Fighter 9 - USA vs. UK starts April 1st!
Deadline to make your selections is ONE HOUR before The Ultimate Fighter 9 show on April 1.
Winner will receive a TLOS t-shirt.
Here are the rules. 16 welterweights and 16 lightweights will be competing to win The Ultimate Fighter in their respective weightclasses. There will be two winners.. one in each weight class. You choose who will advance to each round. 4 rounds total. If the fighter you choose wins his first fight, then you receive 1 point.. if he advances to the quarter-finals, then you receive 2 points.. if he advances to the semi-finals, that's 4 points.. and if one of the fighters that you choose wins his weightclass, then that's 8 points. The total number of points will be added up depending on how many fighters you choose to advance each round correctly. The winner will be the participant with the most points. In case of a tie, the ones who have tied will have to decide who will win the finals in each weight class by what type of finish and in what round. You will not have to do that until the last episode of TUF, if there is to be a tie.
Post your following picks for -
Top 16 (the fighters who will win their first fight)
Top 8 (the fighters who will win their first and second fights)
Top 4 (the fighters who will be heading to the finale)
Top 2 (the two winners in each weight class)
Max points possible: 64
If there are any questions, feel free to ask. I will be more than happy to elaborate more if needed. Post your predictions here! Here are the following fighters that are to be in TUF (remember, the first round will probably be all US vs. UK fights.. after that, if there are more US advances to the next round, or UK advances to the next round, we're not sure how they are going to do that, if they are going to have to pit countrymen against each other or what):

Original post was updated to explain it a bit more.
Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
Lightweight Cameron Dollar. Is that the same Cameron Dollar that once played Point Guard for UCLA?

Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
The UFC should do TUF in a bracket form. Release the bracket a week or few days before the premiere and let everyone fill them out March Madness style. It could generate interest in office pools and bring in more casual fans equalling higher ratings.
Just my 2 cents.
Oh and i'll get my picks in soon. I won't win, but the way things go it will be just you and I Mortis. I don't know dogshit about any of these guys. Well I think i've seen Dent fight before.

Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
I would love it if they did a bracket type thing similar to the NCAA basketball tourney.
If it is just you and me, Gooch, you may beat me, lol. I don't know much about these guys, either.. I just did a bit of research on them.

Also I think that Ocispzak kid is gonna be the sleeper in the competition... don't let the record fool you, that dude is a beast. I'm not 100% confident he would win, but I do think he can make it to the semis.

Looks like we got 3 of us ... Cody did send me his picks via myspace, btw.. when my laptop gets up and working again, I'll post his picks just to compare.
Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
Sounds good.
I've advertised this contest on proelite.com and on facebook.... nobody seems interested though
Ah well, four is a decent number I suppose. Would be cool to get a few more before the show airs tonight though.

Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
I too thought Rob Browning was supposed to be on the show as well, but the list Mortis posted is the same one on all the other sites so maybe Browning was cut last minute?

Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
Well I already know I am wrong about the WW final b/c I just watched the "leaked" vid on UFC.com for the preview this week. They don't give away any spoilers, but they do announce one of the fights for next week... yep you guessed it, Mark Miller vs. Kevin Knabijan!
DAMNITTTTTT!!! :p
They weren't supposed to fight each other until the finale
lol.
Oh well. Looking forward to the fight... I think Miller will get the KO, unless Kevin can control him with his superior wrestling.

Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
Thanks for the update, Mike.. I didn't get a chance to catch it this past Wednesday, since I don't have cable anymore.
Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
you know what i was thinking? without knowing the match ups, this was hard to call. there have been and i'm sure will be, instances where we picked two fighters that fought each other. i think we should redo our picks after all 16 are in, then refer back to the originals in case of a tie. we don't have to, just a thought considering no one really knew the fighters. either way, we should for fun. what does everyone think?
Re: CONTEST! - Mortis' Ultimate Fighter Challenge
I like the idea Mike. That is precisely why I didn't voice my picks to start with.
