Brock Lesnar = PPV King?

Brock Lesnar drew the most PPV buys this year.. more than any other fighter (including boxing and pro wrestling).

My husband and I order all UFC PPV's regardless of who's on the card because we enjoy the sport so much, believe me Brock had nothing to do with our decision to watch.

To the most dedicated MMA fans like you and I, and probably everybody on this board, the headliner doesn't matter to us. We'll watch it anyways... but to the general public, the headliner does matter, because the general public are just tools of the capital marketing world.

But, the reason why they said Lesnar was the "PPV King" is because they got more buys every time he was on the card. For a high PPV buy in the Lesnar / Herring fight.. no, I don't think Herring had much to do with it, actually. Not saying he's a bad fighter... but Lesnar is a big name because of his pro wrestling days.

Now the high PPV buy in the Lesnar / Couture fight... Randy Couture did have a BIG part to do with that one.

I know you are right. It's just that I dislike Brock so much that I am being childish about it. HAHA!

Hehe.. I understand your dislike for Lesnar. I'm not a big fan, either.
