What are your favorite fights this year so far?

Below are the top 10 according to raters at MMA Ratings? I agree with some of them, but I think the growing popularity of the site may play a factor in later fights gatting more ratings.

4.50 - Carlos Condit vs. Hiromitsu Miura (WEC 35)
4.42 - Forrest Griffin vs. Quinton Jackson (UFC 86)
4.41 - Andrei Arlovski vs. Ben Rothwell (Affliction: Banned)
4.36 - Andrei Arlovski vs. Roy Nelson (EliteXC: Heat)
4.33 - Eddie Alvarez vs. Joachim Hansen (Dream 3)
4.20 - Gina Carano vs. Kelly Kobald (EliteXC: Heat)
4.18 - Demian Maia vs. Jason MacDonald (UFC 87)
4.18 - Jake Shields vs. Paul Daley (EliteXC: Heat)

I'm surprised Urijah Faber vs. Jens Pulver isn't in the Top 10.

I believe it was at one time. Now its at 4 stars even.

That was a GREAT fight and a great card. I do thin Miguel Angel Torres vs. Yoshiro Maeda was a better fight, mainly because Urijah dominated the fight with Jebs the entire time as opposed to the way Torres and Maeda went back and forth.

I voted. I think the Torres / Maeda fight was the second best fight on the bill (next to the Faber / Pulver fight, of course).. but the Torres / Maeda fight could be a Top 10 fight on the year as well. That was just a great card overall! I might be a little bias, though.. because Urijah Faber is my favorite fighter.

Mortis, I agree. Urijah is definitely one of my favorite fighters. I really liked the way he never gave Jens a chance to rest the whole 25 minutes. Every time Jens thought he could catch his breadth, Urijah would explode. He's high on my p4p list.

What's with the Maia/McDonald hate? You didn' like that fight? If I recall that was a good fight.

...... I just voted a 1 for it so it would rank the Faber / Pulver fight closer to the Top 10 :-x

It was a good fight. I like Damien Maia.

awww, that's no fair. Anyway, there was about 30 fights ahead of Faber/Pulver. Instead of rating something down, tell some buddies to rate Faber/Pulver higher.
