The Ultimate Fighter All-Stars Empty The Ultimate Fighter All-Stars

Post  The Cody Tue Feb 17, 2009 4:56 am

I have been thinking about this for about a year now and I think this should definentley be the next if not a future Ultimate Fighter. Have all the guys who lost from diffrent seasons come back and compete and the winner will get a title shot. I think you should pick the two weights that have the most depth of Ultimate Fighters and feature them on Ultimate Fighter All-Stars I think that would be the most exciting Ultimate Fighter ever. Here are the guys from each weight class (with the exception of Heavyweight because their are no Heavyweight fighters from the Ultimate Fighter 2 who are still their they all dropped to 205) who should be featured on the show.

Light-Heavyweight:
Stephan Bonnar
Matt Hamill
Vinny Magalahes (cant spell that one)
Eliot Marshall
Keith Jardine
Sam Hoger
Bobby Southworth
Mike Nickels
(If you have differ in opinion dont be afraid to shout, also note that I dont think anyone would pass up this oppurtunity)

Middleweight:
Chris Leben
Nate Quarry
Ed Herman
CB Dollaway
Tim Credeur
Kalib Starnes (Much to the chagrin of The JDH)
Patrick Cote
Travis Lutter

Welterweight:
Mike Swick
Josh Koscheck
Matt Serra
Ben Saunders
George Sotiropolous
Marcus Davis
Luke Cummo
Chris Lytle

Lightweight:
Melvin Guillard
Jorge Gurgel
Manny Gamburyan
Matt Wiman
Rich Clementi
Din Thomas
Junie Browning
Phillipe Nover

Now I dont know about you but I think the Middleweights and Welterweights look like the best possible matchups. I am going to see if I can plant this idea in the internet and see what happens.

Actually, I think it's a pretty cool idea.

I loved season 4 of TUF with all the veterans fighting for a shot at the belt. I thought that was a great season, and me being a huge Serra fan... I went nuts when he upset GSP.

Would be cool to see an all star TUF season.

I doubt it would work though... but it would be cool to see.

I agree, MW and WW would probably be best.

Or even LHW and LW.

Matt Serra won his division on The Ultimate Fighter 4, so he can't be on the list.

Yeah I agree, as much as I'd love to see him on TUF again... he already won TUF 4 so no.

I think if you're going to do an All Star show, only bring in people who lost in previous seasons, like don't bring in people who have won in the past like Forrest or Rashad.

Only bring in guys like Leben or Rob Emerson, guys like that.

It would be interesting.

Though a title shot? lol none of those guys would really have a chance... but then again people said the same about Serra and he got a huge upset so anything is possible in MMA.

Yeah I am just realizing that I put him in there, I was having a little trouble thinking them up. But hey the basis is the idea is what counts, I have posted this in other forums and fans seem to love the idea so hopefully the voice will be heard and we will see it or something among the same lines. And plus you have to admit that Matt Serra against any of the other guys (even a rematch with Lytle) would be an interesting fight.

If I could set it up, here's how I would do it.

If it was LHW and Lightweights;

Light Heavyweights:

1. Stephan Bonnar
2. Matt Hamill
3. Bobby Southworth
4. Mike Whitehead
5. Eliot Marshall
6. Tom Lawlor
7. Mike Nickels
8. Keith Jardine

Lightweights:

1. Rich Clementi
2. Robert Emerson
3. Melvin Guillard
4. Din Thomas
5. Junie Browning
6. Philipe Nover
7. Matt Wiman
8. Jorge Gurgel

And my predictions for finale:

LHW- Keith Jardine vs. Matt Hamill

LW- Rich Clementi vs. Matt Wiman

OR

If it was MW and WW:

Middleweights:

1. Nate Quarry
2. Chris Leben
3. Jesse Taylor *He probably wouldn't be allowed back... but still, fun personalty despite his limo incident. Good fighter too.
4. Travis Lutter
5. CB Dollaway
6. Ed Herman
7. Gerald Harris
8. Jorge Rivera

Welterweight:

1. Pete "Drago" Sell
2. Josh Burkman
3. Luke Cummo
4. Ben Saunders
5. George Sotiropolous
6. Matt Brown
7. Marcus Davis
8. Chris Lytle

MW Final- Travis Lutter vs. CB Dollaway

WW Final- Pete Sell vs. Marcus Davis

i don't like the idea of anyone who went to the UFC after the show for more than just a finale fight going back to the show. so guys like guillard, clementi, bonnar, cummo, hamill, jardine, gurgel, wiman, quarry, leben, etc. i don't think should go back.

i'm not sure i really like the idea at all actually and it would never work. the ufc would have to pay these fighters to do the show now. they are best sticking to hungry green guys who jump to the opportunity to make a name for themselves by being on TV and in the ufc, something these guys have already done.

I was thinking that too.

I like the concept, but like I mentioned before I don't think it would work like you said.

Though it would be kinda fun if it happened.

But yeah, I think it's better for the UFC to keep bringing in newer talent with these TUF shows.

I wish they would do a HW TUF soon.

If the UFC were up to it.. it could give those fighters a second chance.
