Alves vs. Koscheck - UFC 90

Awwww dammit! I was looking forward to a Sanchez / Alves fight. I hope Alves kicks the living crap out of Koscheck. If Alves wins this match, he should get a shot for the title against GSP.

I think Alves has an even better chance of winning now.

Yeah, you're right.. but I still would rather see a Sanchez / Alves fight. Both of those fighters deserve a title shot.. even though Diego did lose 2 in a row.. but both fighters he lost to already had title shots. I don't want to see Koscheck get another title shot.. though, he might if he beats Alves.

i actually disagree. josh koscheck is a much more intelligent fighter and has a much more dominating style. i mean... if fitch can overpower diego, what would alves do?? keep in mind, when diego was more relevant he WAS my least favorite fighter. so, my bias my be a little thick, but kos always gets better while diego just says he is better than ever.

here is my biggest key to look at:
matt hughes took alves down but had trouble controlling him. however, alves missed weight by a lot. he weighed at least 10 pounds more than hughes come fight time. that wont be the case with koscheck. also, we can compare how kos did wrestling with gsp and how hughes did... kos did a lot better. kos has not been ko'd. i really look for him to pull the upset via UD, or believe it or not, loopy haymaker flash KO. i just see kos being really calm and ready.

keep in mind i dont like koscheck NEARLY as much as alves, so that one isnt my bias.

Alves vs Koscheck.........Can go either way....Wresting = Koscheck wins....Stand up = Alves wins.


If koscheck wins....it will prob be Koscheck vs Sanchez for Title Shot

If alves wins....prob title shot right away.
